A smaller work knife that easily goes just about anywhere
One of Kershaw’s original Officer Ranch knives, the Corral Creek work knife was born and proven on Pete Kershaw’s ranch in eastern Oregon. This is a smaller work knife, though it's as tough and sturdy as are all the Officer Ranch knives.
This is the one that you pull out to quickly cut through that cord or to break down a box. The Corral Creek is one of the smaller Officer Ranch knives and offers a 21/2-inch blade of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The steel provides a good balance of toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance, while the swaged clip-point blade provides an aggressive point for piercing tasks, and enough belly to take care of slicing tasks as well.
The handle is stainless steel inlaid with cross-grooved ABS inserts on both sides for a secure grip under a wide variety of environmental conditions. The lock back design is extremely sturdy and keeps the blade securely in place when in use. To release it, the user must depress the locking mechanism on the back of the handle. The Corral Creek is drilled to accept a lanyard so your blade is always close at hand when you need it. When you want a knife that’s ranch tough and ranch dependable, the right choice is one of our Officer Ranch knives.
There is no mechanical assist, such as SpeedSafe, used to open the folding knife. It opens the classic, old-school way.
A strip of steel on the back of the knife moves into place behind the blade to lock the knife safely and securely open during use.
