Our smallest paring knife
In the same way that a chef's knife is a kitchen must-have, so every kitchen should have a paring knife—or two. When a larger knife just can't do the job well, reach for paring knife to do all those small or intricate jobs. Often, you'll use a paring knife to work on a food item held in your hand, for example, when peeling an apple or pear. On the other hand, paring knives can also be used against a cutting board, for mincing garlic, for instance.
The Kershaw 9900 Series has two different sizes of paring knives. This one is our smaller size, with a 2 7/8-inch blade. It's just right for peeling, trimming, or coring smaller foods or creating decorative garnishes. The Kershaw Paring Knife is part of the Kershaw 9900 Series of kitchen cutlery. With cutting performance that rivals much more expensive knives, the Kershaw 9900 Series offers a full range of classic kitchen tools with clean, contemporary good looks.
The blade steel is Japanese AUS6A high-carbon stainless steel and is sharpened to a razor-sharp edge. The handles are co-polymer and provide a soft-yet-firm grip. The handle is exceptionally non-slip, even in a wet kitchen environment. While you can put these knives in the dishwasher, we recommend handwashing to maintain your knives—and keep the knives from harming anything else in your dishwasher. The Kershaw 9900 Series is NSF Certified for commercial kitchens.
