Upgraded and better than ever

The Random Task is back by popular demand—as the Random Task II. And this time, we updated the materials to make the Random Task an even more standout knife.

For one thing, the Random Task II’s blade steel has been upgraded to Sandvik 14C28N. This stainless steel was developed in an exclusive partnership between Kershaw and Sandvik Steel. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, hardness, edge retention, and is an all-around top performer. The Random Task II’s blade design was built for multi-tasking—so it makes a great utility knife. The slight belly offers excellent slicing capabilities, but is also straight enough to make cuts where you have to bear down and apply pressure easy. The modified tanto tip provides piercing power and a point that works well for detail work. A stonewashed finish looks good and is easy care.

The handle has been upgraded to textured G-10 scales for a solid grip in a wide variety of conditions. A liner lock provides secure blade lockup. For fast and easy one-handed opening, the Random Task II is equipped with SpeedSafe. Just pull back on the blade protrusion and the SpeedSafe assisted opening system takes over, moving the blade out of the handle, ready for use. A Tri-Carry three-position pocketclip that works for both right- and left-handers completes the package.
