A medium-sized multi-purpose knife

The Kershaw Serrated Utility knife is the knife to reach for when you need to cut through foods with tougher skins—like salami casing, for instance—or foods with tougher exteriors, but soft interiors—like some tomatoes and avocados.

And, as you might notice from the ingredients we just mentioned, a serrated utility knife is also a great sandwich knife. It will cut just about everything that goes in your sandwich and then, because of the bread-knife-like serrations, will neatly cut your sandwich in half, too.

The Kershaw Serrated Utility knife is part of the Kershaw 9900 Series of kitchen cutlery. With cutting performance that rivals much more expensive knives, the Kershaw 9900 Series offers a full range of classic kitchen tools with clean, contemporary good looks. The blade steel is Japanese AUS6A high-carbon stainless steel and is sharpened to a razor-sharp edge. The handles are co-polymer and provide a soft-yet-firm grip. The handle is exceptionally non-slip, even in a wet kitchen environment. While you can put these knives in the dishwasher, we recommend handwashing to maintain your knives—and keep the knives from harming anything else in your dishwasher. The Kershaw 9900 Series is NSF Certified for commercial kitchens.

Technical Specifications

  • 9900 Kitchen Series
Kershaw Kitchen Cutlery offers high-quality stainless steel blades, comfortable soft-touch handles, and cutting performance to rival much more expensive knives.

  • Scallop Serration
Serrations assist in cutting through particularly tough or fibrous material, such as rope or cord. The scalloped serration offers even cutting power on both push and pull strokes and doesn't “tear” the material as much as other serration styles.

  • Fixed Blade
The knife does not fold closed; usually stored in a sheath or blade protector.
