The reason we make our steak knives with micro serrations isn't just about cutting performance. A plain-edged knife will cut your steak, too. The reason we add serrations is because steak is usually being cut against a ceramic or glass dinner plate, and that is exceptionally hard on any knife. It tends to dull the edge. With Kershaw's micro-serrations, only the very tip contacts the plate so the rest of the blade remains sharp and cuts through your steak with ease And because they're micro-serrations, they glide through a steak with less tearing—which means more of the juices and more of the flavor remains inside the steak, where it should be.

The blade steel for the Kershaw Steak Knife Set is Japanese AUS6A high-carbon stainless steel and is sharpened to a razor-sharp edge. The handles are co-polymer and provide a soft-yet-firm, non-slip grip. While you can put these knives in the dishwasher, we recommend handwashing to maintain your knives—and to keep the sharp knives from harming anything else in your dishwasher. The Kershaw 9900 Series is NSF Certified for commercial kitchens.
