The blade is a classic drop-point blade with good belly. The blade excels at long clean cuts. The Tremor’s blade steel is quality 8Cr13MoV. You can think of it as generally equivalent to the more well known AUS8A. Kershaw precision heat-treats this steel to bring out its very best, high-performance qualities, including hardness and wear resistance. The Tremor opens with SpeedSafe for fast and easy one-handed opening. Access the Tremor’s SpeedSafe opening using the built-in flipper. Just pull back on the ambidextrous flipper blade protrusion and SpeedSafe takes over, moving the blade out of the handle, ready for use.
