If you appreciate the utility of a gut hook, but your favorite hunting knife doesn't have one, Kershaw has the answer—the Zipit gut hook. It's an inexpensive, compact, and lightweight tool.

To use the Zipit, make a small incision with your hunting knife, then insert the Zipit hook into the incision. With your index finger in the Zipit’s comfortable, rubber-lined finger hole pull it down the animal’s abdomen, “unzipping” the skin without danger of nicking the stomach. The Zipit prevents you from “paunching” the animal and ruining the meat.
